The Indipendent Italian Dream...."made in Italy made abroad"

A warm greeting from Marco, especially to my teacher Jon.
After about a week of reflection on the choice of my final project have finally arrived at a decision.
About a week ago as I said at the beginning I proposed to you readers some of my business ideas, some "gap" that I think are in the fashion business, especially in the British market.
I want you to see my original idea , the one I choose:

'My idea is to create a brand that has organitional features of production and distribution very similar to companies like "Zara" and "H&M", but with a "strong" italian identity, both in terms of style and production quality, of course, the production will be placed to certain countries where labor is still not very expensive, but the secret will move right in most of its human resources in the place where it produces and try to bring everything with our "know how" you can to ensure that the production standards and quality high, essentially a "made in Italy" made abroad.
I know you can't call a product "made in Italy" if it was made in another country, but our strategy to comunicate to our customers, our mission, just "made in Italy" made abroad.'

After having the opportunity to read it again, I will speak more about my business idea.

In these two years of analysis of the fashion business I came to understand that you are creating a "gap" in it, thanks to a repositioning by companies competing in affordable luxury with their second line.

More precisely what is happening in the Strategic Business Unit "affordable luxury"?

Companies called "griffe" in the fashion business are repositioning their second lines (ex. D&G for Dolce & Gabbana, Just Cavalli for Roberto Cavalli, Marc by Marc Jacobs for Marc Jacobs ...) in terms of prices, in substance are raising their prices on products.
Because these companies are all re-placing in the high price of "affordable luxury" creates "gap" in the lower price range where my business will go to compete.
I know, initially thought of going to compete directly in the Strategic Business Unit "fast fashion" where there are companies like "Zara", "H&M", "Top Shop" etc. but in the end I decided to keep them as competitors but add others from the affordable luxury.

In the next text I'm going to talk in more detail about my company and my business plan.

  1. This is a solid report based soundly in marketing theory and this provides some good justification for why the project might work. Much more could be provided in the form of visual evidence though to justify the differentiation you claim will happen. You blog could have been especially sueful in this but you have not updated it for nearly two weeks, possibly as a result of not coming to the class time allocated for this.
